Finkley Down Farm Park

A family run children’s farm with all the character of a traditional farm but in a safe, secure, friendly environment.

Activities

Finkley Down Farm Park always has a host of animals to see and specially organised activities where children can touch, learn and interact. We have a plethora of interesting breeds and species, everything from the gentle giant English Shire horses to the cheeky American Chipmunk.

Animals

All of our animals are well looked after in generous sized pens and paddocks where their natural habitat is respected and their comfort is paramount.

We understand that children enjoy baby animals best of all, so we operate a specially controlled breeding programme that ensures there are always young animals such as chicks, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats and calves to be seen throughout the season.

Playground

Children can 'let off steam' in the large playground which includes the Pyramid Slide, a combine harvester, aerial runway and trampolines. The go-carts and mini ride-on tractors are always a massive hit.

There is a Toddlers Playground, especially for the under 8's, with swings, a roundabout, Wendy House and Little Tikes play equipment. The small children can also enjoy the large sandpit.

Tearoom

The Rooster's Rest Tearoom is open every day from 10am until 5pm. A variety of hot and cold meals, snacks, treats and drink are available to suit all pockets and palates. There is a children's menu with healthy options and always a choice for vegetarians too.

The Rooster's Rest is notorious for its tempting assortment of homemade cakes and delicious cream teas. Food is freshly prepared to order using local suppliers wherever possible. Finkley Down Farm Park has numerous high chairs and a microwave is also provided for heating baby food.

Gift Shop

The Gift Shop sells a variety of souvenirs from keyrings to children's books, tee-shirts and tractors for the boys. Ideal if you are looking for a birthday present or even Christmas stocking fillers. Make sure you pop in for an ice-cream or a cold drink before you leave.
