Wildlife Pond – Come along to the wildlife pond and see if you have what it takes to be an amphibian detective. Learn top tips on pond dipping and how to make a pond dipping net.

Bat Boxes – Discover where the bats live high up in their Bat Boxes and find out how you could make a home for bats where you live too.

Bird Hide – Head to the Bird Hide where you can grab a pair of binoculars and see what birds you can spot. Find helpful hints on how to build a nest box for your garden.

Bug World – Try and find all the different places that bugs like to hang out. Take a closer look as there’s three to find – Bug Garden, Bug Hotel and Bug Pile.

June 2022

Elderflower is in full bloom at the farm, although considered a weed by most, is great for bees and other bugs. Did you know that you can make tasty cordial with the flowers?


May 2022

We found these huge stag beetles in a rotten log we had to move. We relocated them to the log pile in Wildlife Corner.


April 2022

This spring flower resembling the head of a snake is the aptly named Snake Head Fritillaria (Fritillaria meleagris). You can spot these at the farm in Wildlife Corner.

Farmer Kate and Farmer Rebecca help TVBC with restoring the native hedgerow between Walworth Road and the Farm.

One of our favourites – a Red Kite! We are starting to see them more and more at the farm, they are really easy to spot with the distinctive forked tail.

First Full Moon of 2022 – the Wolf Moon.
